Just every now and then, I get to see or play with something that makes me go Wow!
Mostly I work with an S6 - recently I was shown a wee trick with an SX12 video feed, Access and a BIM model.
Much of the Augmented Reality stuff I have seen in the past was average at best.
But this looks genuinely useful...
How accurate is the 3D AR layout? Or are there limitations?
Is the process to localize to control points as usual, but you can see the 3D model in the display against real world as the instrument is turned, not just the linework or points in plain white 2D or 3D workspace?
@timd1971 It is realtime - it turns or zooms with the instrument
It is as accurate as the instrument - SX12 can be +/-0.5mm
Haven't really found any limitations yet - there is probably a realistic limit of BIM size vs controller hardware
And there are some handy functions like Wire frame and Transparency
