The attached photo shows a gathering of NCRS employees near the west end of the Oklahoma Panhandle. Somewhere atop Black Mesa is the highest point in the State of Oklahoma. You may also be seeing a little bit of Colorado at the right side of the photo and a bit of New Mexico at the left side of the photo. Has anyone here ever worked on or on and off of Black Mesa?

I have actually visited that place. A poor boy from Mississippi. That place was one of my bucket lists places from history. Made a round about route from STL MO to Austin just to go by that place it was my 5 minutes of checking a box.

It was actually the reverse I did it coming back from Austin. I had some leave and took it to make it by that place. I can’t always keep up with the routes now days unfortunately.

Thus far, the only time I’ve spent in Oklahoma was at Fort Sill, many moons ago.
