Used one in 1969-70 for traversing Section lines to stay on line.?ÿ Interesting was when traversing E-W the line ended up being a curve like the Manual required.?ÿ A feature was there was an hour(?) around local apparent noon where it didn't work so we always had a nice midday lunch break.?ÿ I could eat in 10 minutes and nap for 50 minutes or hunt grouse with a .22 pistol.?ÿ A negative was each night you had to calculate settings for the next day and make up a little chart in the instrumentman's peg book.
