@jim-frame I allowed an attorney to convince me to change my map once. I consider it one of my rookie mistakes.
The attorney is the one navigating the legal system. The surveyor is the one leading the hearing officer or judge to the correct conclusion on the boundary or the allegations against the other surveyor.
This partnership should be a learning experience for everyone, but I vehemently disagree with your attorney. Our laws, rules, and standard of care require us to include our evidence and treatment on the map. Holding that information back sets you up for a painful cross. Summed up in one question, "Mr. Surveyor, what other evidence was used in your survey and not memirialized on your map?".
?ÿNot picking here, but you will remember the moment you hear a question like that in a hearing. It's painful, even even it's the other guy on the stand ..
