Has anyone here from NY or another state applied for licensure in PA? How long does the application process usually take for ACT 41?

According to this PA Gov website there is no state exam in PA for Surveyor licensure. They only require the National PS and FS.

PA has Licensure by ACT 41

Act 41 allows for the portability of out-of-state professional licensees coming to work in Pennsylvania. Act 41 does this by granting all boards and commissions within the Commonwealth the authority to endorse licensees from other states, territories or jurisdictions (with substantially equivalent licensing requirements) who are active, in good standing and without discipline against their license or criminal conviction.

The do require a state test and it is heavy in engineering. Maybe half the test was engineering related questions for me. That was through comity. I took it a month ago or so. The whole process was pretty quick. There is a lot to study!

Hi there. Getting prepared for the PA Exam. What material did you study? They give the Content Outline but no indication on recommended material to study. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

You will probably have to sit for the two hour State Specific portion of the test as PA allows surveyors to do drainage work.

I'd be interested to know the answer to this as well.

Wonder what states they allow licensure for through this act 41?
