Hi there
I have recently acquired a Dietzgen Transit 6000 Series and she is a beaut. Everything is in great shape except that the scope is cloudy. It will basically be a display piece in my office, but I would still like to be able to see through the scope and crank some angles with it out in the field.

When I look backwards through the front part of the scope it looks fairly clear so I think it may be the eye piece that needs cleaning. Can the scopes on these be taken apart and cleaned? Has anyone ever done this, and if so can you provide any helpful tips?

Thanks in advance.

I think the eyepiece comes out easily. Be very careful about the crosshairs that are probably exposed inside the telescope tube.
