@dave-karoly tends to be more sporadic, with a lot of posts and some time between, but you're right - it's been exactly a month since we heard from him and that's unusual.

Life is an adventure, they say.?ÿ Sometimes life gets a bit tougher than at other times.?ÿ Especially when your genes pass along certain susceptibilities to various ailments, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, etc.

I am a walking chemistry set every day, as I'm sure many of you may be as well.?ÿ Take this for one ailment, that for another and so forth and so on.?ÿ Sometimes I swear I rattle from the collection of pills that get swallowed each day.?ÿ A couple of weeks ago my doctor decided I needed to add another pill into that mix.?ÿ By the third pill, bad things were beginning to happen.?ÿ Had a battle going on with drugs fighting drugs.?ÿ BAD DEAL.?ÿ Made things far worse.?ÿ Had to get that new stuff depleted from my system.?ÿ Then I checked into the hospital (first time since leaving one a few days after being born) so they could start an alternative pill and monitor me 24/7 to make sure it would be an agreeable portion of my daily chemistry set.?ÿ One HUGE problem with the interactions with the first pill gave me an unbelievable case of insomnia.?ÿ That is something incredibly rare for me to experience, so it was especially challenging to try to heal with no sleep.?ÿ They added a sleeping aid to the mix.?ÿ Tried it for two days with no benefit.?ÿ Switched to a different one.?ÿ It works great.

Lost six pounds in eight days.?ÿ I don't recommend that method of doing so.?ÿ Actually attempting to gain weight for the first time in my life.

Hospital would not let me have my phone with me.?ÿ No way to access anyone other than asking a nurse to phone my wife and then hand me the phone.

HC you're in good hands.?ÿ When I called yesterday I just asked for you and explained I was another land surveyor.?ÿ She politely told me that you weren't available and would take a message.?ÿ But when I explained who I was and whom I 'represented' she said, "Oh hang on here, I'll get him".

She's definitely on your side.?ÿ Good help is hard to find.

Rest up buddy.

@one-cup-o-joe

About 15 years ago I was a victim of "prescription poisoning" administered by my PCP.?ÿ Damned near killed me.

I was in the middle of about 6 months of once-a-week-chemotherapy that left me severely anemic.?ÿ In an attempt to continue working I had let everything go except for some construction inspection work.?ÿ Doc started me on some new medicine.?ÿ I had complained to him after a few days and told him this junk was gong to kill me.?ÿ His suggestion was to continue the medication and I would eventually "get used to it".

I was 50 miles west of town driving back in from a job and started to black out due to a drop in blood pressure.?ÿ Last thing I remember was making a phone call to my wife.?ÿ She found me parked at a truck stop on I-40 where I had just fallen over in my truck.

I don't remember the drive home.?ÿ I don't even remember how we got my truck back to the house.?ÿ I do remember talking to the doctor.?ÿ After describing my symptoms he said, "Well I guess we better discontinue that..".

No sh*t doc.?ÿ I tried to tell you that a week ago.

Did he bill you?

Do you send a bill when you make a mistake and need to fix it?
