I'm trying to reprogram my HP35s and I'm having difficulties entering the following line:
?ÿ
RCL (I)
?ÿ
In the programming mode, I can enter RCL I, but I cannot enter the parenthesis. I tried the equation mode, but just get a syntax error. I've search the manual multiple times. Anyone know the answer??ÿ
I'm more of an old school HP-67 guy, but I think I'm right in this when I say, it's not the letter I, it's the indirect address register (I), which is the red lettering on the number 0. Similarly the indirect address register (J) is on the decimal point. If you just type RCL 0 it will pop up RCL (I) on the screen.
You have to go into the alpha mode after rcl I believe on the 35s it doesn??t automatically do allha like the older ones. If what you are trying to do is rcl from the alpha I. I am not the best i wrote. Few equations but never wrote a program fyi. I liked equations better as it allowed me to solve for variables that were not always given on practice exams. Funny thing is I never used them on actual exam. But I think going through the practice of writing a few it implanted them in my brain so i just ran the numbers. ?ÿ
@david-baalman You were spot-on with your advice. Thanks!!
