Thanks for the post. Very interesting read and I never knew that Daniel Boon was a surveyor until reading this.
Whaaat. Come on now. He blazed trees through the Cumberland Gap. He killed a bear. He fought for America. Ya gotta go watch Fess Parker playing Daniel Boone. lol. In actuality I was devastated as a teenager when I learned history about him and he actually despised the coin skin hat. So Hollywood sorta got that one wrong. If memory serves me correctly he wore a beaver felt hat as it was more dignified. There are a few episodes he was doing some survey work in. Oh the memories of my childhood heroes lol.
