I recently moved from Southern California to South Carolina (near Charlotte). It's a whole different world out here in regards to surveying. So much of what I "knew" in So Cal just doesn't apply out here (and vice versa I'm sure). California is way stricter on mapping standards, especially with exhibits. But Carolina requires a plat on everything. Seems like Carolina's GPS systems are better and they rarely use a total station. So much to learn!!!
CAR: Centerline monuments? What are those?
CAR: What's that? CAL: It's a GPS antenna on a tripod. CAR: Huh?
CAL: Fd 1" IP CAR: You mean EIR? or Iron Pin?
