Transcontinental Highway and Union Pacific Railroad near Sharon Springs, Kansas on July 1, 1929.

I believe this is within 10 miles of the east line of Colorado and looking to the west. Old US 40,

Those kind of open spaces, no trees, make my eyes go all wonky. Nothing to focus on beyond what's at your feet and infinity.

Eight years too soon for a Stuckey's. But, Mr. Stuckey's kids might have had a lemonade stand nearby.
