Can anyone help me out with a client who has some property up there?
He's has a description that he sent to me, I let him know I would send out an SOS to see if I could get someone,,,,,,,T6N, R1W, Copper River Meridian.
If anyone can help let me know.
What recording district is that in?

Isn't that a question to ask of an Alaskan registrant?
I could steer him towards someone local if we had a better description of the property-
Gulkana area, Richardson Hwy, along the Copper River, Chitina Recording District. You will be hard pressed to find any local surveyors that do work in that area (that I know of). By knowing the recording district (there're 34) someone can go to the States Recorders Office and do an MTRS search and look for any recently recorded surveys in the area and track someone down that way. Good luck.
Looks to be extremely remote, at least by lower 48 standards, and unsurveyed.
Section 23, T6N, R1W, Copper River Meridian, Chitina Recording Dist., 3rd Judicial Dist. the Section corner tie looks like there is a scrivener's error to the POB. The tract closes. The Tok Cut-off Highway and the Richardson Highway if that helps.
Thanks!!
“Alaska surveyor”
that rhymes with
“Ask a surveyor”
cool

That's like asking what county in the L48. Every recorded document and survey (except BLM/GLO) will have that info.

I think he said Chitina
That DNR site is a bit interesting to search in. MTRS doesnt seem to have a filter for document type, and the RS document type doesnt seem to have a filter for MTRS. Glad I am not wading through that every day.
Dang. I guessed fairly close by looking at the location of the Initial Point. Decided Glenallen might be close. Not too far off.

Only 2 or 3 hours out of Anchorage, even looks like a road close by.

That means not remote at all by Alaskan standards...basically in a city.
(Insert my comments about that one show where people living on the road system in the Homer area are somehow remote and isolated.)
@dmyhill More like 5 hours from Anchorage. There’s also a ton of road construction and portions of the Glenn Hwy that you can’t drive faster than 50 mph or you’ll soon be meeting Jesus. Not a lot going on out that way. Also outside of any platting authority so DNR is the platting authority by default. I was just out there playing off the Denali Hwy an hour past the cutoff.

Haven't been on that section of road for at least a couple of decades, so I was just going off Google.
But I do remember the way roads get there in the interior.

I hear you saying that you are the surveyor for the Job!!!
