GeoMax/Leica uses a different prism offset method than other manufacturers (and they are the only companies to do so). The difference between a Leica prism quoted offset and all other prism offsets is the way the Kr value is handled. Leicaƒ??s prism constant system is defined with reference to its standard prism sets (the GPH1 + GPR1) which has a Kr value equal to -34.4 mm.

SurvCE makes prism constant entry simple, however you need to be aware that for your gun the Leica prism constant offset methodology is in play.

When a prism is entered in SurvCE, the standard Absolute offset is entered. SurvCE computes the GeoMax/Leica adjusted offset as

?ÿ?ÿ?ÿ?ÿ?ÿ?ÿ?ÿ?ÿ?ÿ?ÿ?ÿ?ÿ?ÿ?ÿ?ÿ GeoMax/Leica Offset = Standard Offset + 34.4 mm

So you enter:

?ÿ Standard Offset = GeoMax/Leica Offset - 34.4 mm

In your case you have a Standard/Absolute offset, so you enter it directly in SurvCE and SurvCE computes the Leica offset (shown at the bottom) and sends that Leica offset to the gun.

This is easy to get wrong. Check against a prism - better 2 prisms - you know and trust. Change the offset until they all agree.
