RE: Best CAD software for a 2 man shop

Carlson Survey with ICAD. I do a variety of work including site surveys for design by engineering firms. I provide AutoCAD, C3D, or Bentley Microstation deliverables directly out of Carlson without any issues.?ÿ
I heard a lot of good things about C3D and piggy backed on a week long class with a local engineering firm. I walked out midway through the third day. For me it seemed to way over complicate some of the simplest of tasks. I also never saw the tools I needed as a surveyor. But again, I bailed early. Iƒ??m sure it works well for others.

Carlson works for me and my small firm because of the price, simplicity, itƒ??s surveying tools, its compatibility with my field software (SurCE) and the type of work I do. ?ÿ
