Hi.
I have a couple of Leica instruments at hand and I need the firmware for them, and their "applications" (which is the second part of the firmware) - in English.
The first instrument is a Leica TCRP1205 with a software maintenance end January/2007 and the other is a Leica TCR1203, with maintenance end July/2010.
Now, I've been using Leica instruments since 2006 and the old web site was very handy providing absolutely all versions of the software released. The firmware is protected by the license embedded into the instrument so if the software was release after your maintenance end date, you simply receive a message that the software can not be installed.
The instruments are in great shape and I just need to reload their firmware.
On the new website, myworld [dot] leica-geosystems [dot] com , there are only the newest 4 versions of the software (8.50, 8.71, 9.01 and 9.03) and none of them is below my maintenance dates. We are a very small company and we simply can not afford to buy an extension to the maintenance dates (over $400 per instrument, in order to install the current firmwares). The old software works for us; I just need to reload it.
I found an Italian Leica site, FTP 62.149.241.121 , but they don't have the applications in English; only in Italian.
Could someone please point out where can I find that piece of firmware? My instrument is currently useless. I can only survey a site, but can not stakeout (that's not included with the base firmware; it is an app).

PS: I am looking for firmware v8.1 for the TCR1203 but firmware version 7.0 (maybe?) for TCRP1205.

My last TPS1200 series was a TCRP1201+, it was a great instrument. I wish Leica kept terminal mode or a derivative of it going..

just look at "Link" above there is also v5.5 and english language file. BUT not tested by myself.
