How to add layers to CSV points in Carlson?

Hi everyone. First post.

I'm a reasonably well seasoned surveyor trying to organize some existing data on a project I've been brought into.

We're using CarlsonPC on a Win 10 tablet for data collection, and Carlson Survey 2020 with IntelliCad for our office computations (both of which I am new to).

The existing collector job has about 1200 points, almost all on layer "FINAL".

These points, of course, all show up on Map View, and while text & symbol & other attributes are on other layers and can be turned off, it affects all points.

From the descriptions of these points I've created a general layer list ('TOC', 'EOP', etc.) and uniform descriptors, consolidating everything into a cleaned up CSV file.

I've also created an FCL file in Excel, as well as trying existing FCLs, having loaded them within the existing job but cannot apply the layer attribute to any points within the job, nor do the FCL files allow me to make changes in a fresh CSV import in a new file.

What I would like to do is apply a layer assignment defined by a specific CSV field which the collector will understand and allow me to manage.

Is this possible?

I was able to do this in Topcon Magnet, and I believe versions of Survey Controller and others.

It seems a very basic feature, so I'm hoping I'm just missing something.

My next option is to try exporting from SurveyPC, but I haven't found out how to make it understand an FCL association when I import a CSV, or how to attribute a layer via CSV field.

I hope I've described my problem clearly enough, and very many thanks in advance (about 1200 of them..)
