Looking to buy one, anyone have any likes or dislikes? Regrets??ÿ
Alot would depend on how much you like Windows 10......I see there is a new version available with faster processor and expanded memory. The extended rang? Bluetooth would be a must have with robotics. ?ÿ If I were to purchase anyting with a large screen for fieldwork it would need an extended warranty. ?ÿWill your dealer let you test one for a few days?
@russ455 yes they will, but a few days is different then after a few months, jobs and downloads. But the plan is a 2 week rental

I used one for a couple years (company property) and I liked it.?ÿ Not sure if they ever fixed this problem but if you left the thing on overnight with the charger plugged in, it would guaranteed blue screen of death crash sometime the next day.?ÿ I eventually stumbled across a fix where as long as you powered it off while it charged it wouldn't crash this way.
I'll second the windows 10 comment. All in all I actually like this tablet, lightweight unlike some of the Trimble tablets I've used and easy to switch to portrait mode so that it can be position next to the pole rather than in front of it. The windows 10 updates seem to throw a spanner in the works from time to time, and the screen can be a bit temperamental in the wet, but you can change the screen mode to avoid this.?ÿ?ÿ
To avoid Windows 10 updates go to windows services, find Windows updates. Stop and disable the service.
There is a new model, the FC6000 with faster processor and more ram disk space. I prefer the Panasonic ToughPads.

Been using several of them for 3+ years now. Love having the full Windows 10 tablet capability, makes it easier to send and receive files, or look things up on the fly. Only a few crashes throughout the years.
My biggest complaint is trying to use the tablet in snow or rain. Can be quite a beast, even when on the proper touchscreen setting, and there have been quite a few times I wanted to chuck it in a lake. We did find that applying Rain-X to the screen helped significantly when trying to use it in the rain.?ÿ
We did have issues connecting to our Verizon Jetpack as well, I would test out your connections before you buy it, if possible.
