Let me get this straight. Is Map3D a subset of Civil 3D? So if a business purchased civil 3d product license, it includes full map3d functionality inside? If i understand this right it does..

-Also id like to know, in case someone purchases civil, can they launch Plain Autocad, if no heavy work is needed, just for system performance sake?
-And then on top of that you can i suppose install every other module like raster design -3rd party (Carlson/Dotsoft etc) and have it insde the C3D Workspace?
Map3D is built on plain AutoCAD and is recently available as part of the AutoCAD One plan.?ÿ Civil3D is built upon and contains Map3D.?ÿ It's just a matter of pulling down a workspace drop down to choose "Planning & Analysis". When Civil3D installs it creates a "Civil3D as AutoCAD ####" shortcut which launches as plain AutoCAD, usually starting a little quicker.
Then you have all of plain AutoCAD, all of Map3D, and Civil3D.?ÿ Since AutoCAD is the foundation you can easily add 3rd party add-ons (thanks for considering us), etc.
Thanx a lot, this settles it
