Hey All,
Using Carlson embedded software. I used the curb flow elevation command to create elevation labels. I am now trying to change that text to mtext with a multi-leader. Is there any way to do this without having to manually re create all the text as mtext with a leader?
Thanks in advance!
Depends on the embedded software I would think, with AutoCAD type text2mtext in the command line and follow the prompts, don't know how to add a leader to it though we have standard leaders that we just copy and adjust.
The Carlson command MOVET will convert your text to a multileader using the currently set mleaderstyle.
I can usually never remember the command so I just copy and paste the text from the single box to a multi box. I also just never use single text boxes anymore since there doesn't seem to be any advantage to doing so.
AutoCAD commands are the same in IntelliCAD, so yes, you'll have to individually convert each piece of text into mtext. If you select similar and run the command thinking you'll save time, you will just end up with one giant piece of mtext with no line breaks or anything.
Bottom line: Stop using single line text. It is practically useless.
Also, if your calls accidentally get linked to your linework, don't explode the call into single line text pieces; use XXDATA instead and choose the call and the line.
