My town will be burying a 17 year old high school senior today.
His name is Slater Sultemeier.
He passed away in his sleep Wednesday Night.
Sadly, his mother found him Thursday morning when he was not up and ready for school.
Cause is not yet known, but probably some sort of heart failure, I am told. He was a big kid, not obese, but just a big kid.
He was a good kid, loved hunting and fishing (like most of the kids around here) and never caused trouble.
His Daddy has done a bunch of work for me in the past, building fences and roads and Slater was with him a lot working hard.
It really tests my faith when the young pass on so soon.

Sorry to hear that news Randy. I guess his Friday Night Lights will just be played among the clouds now. RIP.
Sad to hear.
Sorry to hear this, Randy.
Life cut short is especially tragic.
Take care,
Rick
That is very sad. His parents must be devastated. I can’t imagine what it must be like to lose a child.
The Gods pick the flowers before the weeds.
Have a nice weekend.
Wow, very sad. He was just getting started.
I lost a cousin at age 12. She had bright red hair. The minister at her service explained that God had gone in search of the perfect rose for his flower garden.
Any unexpected loss of an otherwise-healthy appearing human is shocking. It is a reminder to all of us that we should cherish each day we have.
Absolutely, Cow.
My heart goes out to that family. Lost a few good ones at young ages. Hits hard in the heart. :u:

Very sad indeed. Tragedy struck again last night during a TX High School Football game. Very shocking to say the least.

I saw that on the news last night and it made me think of this thread. God is building his eternal football team I guess & Heaven got another :star:.
