You probably don't need this anymore, but it's basically the same thing as using a field collected static RINEX file.?ÿ

We go to the state network (WSRN), login, and go to the downloads. Can choose a specific mountpoint or a synthetic composite that covers a region. Make sure to get the precise given location they list. Then choose the time period, and download.?ÿ

Process as normal with whatever RINEX utility you normally use. Add it to your PPK software, program in the station location and process as normal.

When I post-process virtual rinex files in TBC (most current version), it literally takes about 10 minutes (or more, and sometimes just gets stuck and hangs the whole routine) for the software to solve a single baseline/vector and move on to the next.

My computer will process a 15 hour static session between 2 receiver files really quick (<10 seconds; ?; I don't pay attention).

Observed and Virtual files are set to log at 1 second, and are typically local RTK bases logging all day.

Anyone else have this experience, or know why this is happening?

@michigan-left?ÿ

That's could be an issue with the formatting/source of the virtual RINEX file, with TBC, or both. We pull in virtual reference stations to TBC regularly and have yet to encounter this problem.

The TBC team is pretty responsive with bugs though, I'd send in a support ticket to your dealer along with the VRS/static files and let them send it to the support team. Sounds like it should be a relatively easy thing to troubleshoot.

Hard to say here. The Michigan DOT runs our Leica based CORS. Nearly all of their receivers are full GNSS, but if you want access to full GNSS data, you have to use the State website and SpiderNet (Web?) download. For some reason they cannot (won't?) send full GNSS constellation data to the NGS. Just GPS+GLO. Been that way for many years. So maybe you're correct about formatting/source files.

@michigan-left NGS OPUS Projects when I took the class a while back maybe about a month ago had a beta OPUS Projects that was able to process more than GPS and GLONAS ?ÿThey will be if not already making it fully available in the future. Remember federal agencies historically are ahead of private sector on technology then fall behind private sector for a while. ?ÿThe government is just behind a bit as private sector is profit driven while government has the time to truly test and research before doing the same thing. Some always say one is better than the other. I think its a good thing they are not always equal as we have some balance that way. I have not used regular OPUS in many years except for some testing so I have no idea if they except full gnss yet. ?ÿNGS is doing a good job it just doesnƒ??t come as fast as we would like on private sector side. But usually its very very sound science and results are usually spot on. If I were processing static data a lot I would probably use OPUS S or OPUS Projects as a foundation check of my work especially anytime i had a new update on my private sector software. ?ÿ

Also keep in mind with all the bells and whistles of other GNSS besides GPS is we in the USA monitor that 24/7 365 globally. ?ÿNot even the next oldest constellation GLONAS has had that full ability globally as we have had the luxury here in USA. I have no idea how the international relationships finally agreed on the other constellations. But what I can assume is every country is looking out for themselves first. All of this is a benefit to the public but was never built with the focus for a land surveyor. As top priority. We are probably the smallest percentage of use of gps in the grand scheme of things. A lot of man hours and many many more than you would even imagine goes into putting all the pieces together to make it all work. ?ÿI mean you have phds from many disciplines heading up different parts . I need to dive into all this latest rinex format myself ?ÿbut rtk has been so fun with 32 satellites. ?ÿ?????ÿ
