We have a family in my home county of the S********* surname.  They are said to be related to those from S**** B***.  They have operated a farm implement dealership for four generations.  Currently Case-IH.

@holy-cow. Yes. I saw that site before visiting South Bend for a little "buisness".  The Oliver Chilled Plow Works, later known as The Oliver Farm Equipment Company.

I was in South Bend about 15 years ago, and some of the buildings had been razed.   Some were still there, but about to be razed.  Not sure, but I think this one is the lone survivor.  The Studebaker Museum is fairly new, about 15 years old.

@beer-legs

There was something similar to the Studebaker Museum over 40 years ago downtown.  I don't recall exactly where or how extensive, though.  My favorite Studebaker I recall seeing as a kid was what we all called the "two-row cornpicker".

@holy-cow

We had one of those when I was a kid.  Two-row cornpicker that is...  It was a IH model.
