Just grilled a leg of lamb and washed it down with a couple of bottles of Barnard Griffin Rosé of Sangiovese so I suspect I may be too much of a Dionysian to be invited to the whole "rapture party thing"

Two reason why the world can NOT end today:
1) The NASCAR All-Star race is on right now and into the night.
2) The Braves game comes on around 2200 hours.
Plenty of beer in the frig thanks to a good buddy.

As far as I know it still is. I’m at the condo with SWMBO in New Smyrna Beach Fl. And the Atlantic has hasn’t misbehaved yet. Actually I’m more worried whether or not I can see the rings of Saturn with my telescope because of the pesky clouds everywhere.

Yeah, Florida is still here. I think the melting of the glaciers / polar ice caps is more of a concern here than some mythical religious crap.

Talked about this with a couple of guys after class today.
One had a plan to place his clothes in the floor (shoes, pants, shirt the whole deal) and make it look like he had gone, minus clothes of course.
The other guy said he loved the idea but couldn't use it because his wife is out of town this weekend. I told him that might be a good thing because the last thing he needed to see was his wife in the living room doing the happy dance if she thought he was gone.
