I have been building animosity toward recruiters and HR departments for going on about 3 decades because of things like this:

Position Description:

This position will work closely with the Aerial Survey Manager and perform duties related to survey work as assigned. This position works outdoors and is physically demanding. The candidate must be comfortable working in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to outdoor elements and dust and travel across rough, uneven or rocky surfaces, construction sites, and heavy and light traffic conditions and close to construction equipment. This position requires frequent standing, walking and lifting and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifts and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications/Skills:

A minimum of 2 years in a civil engineering surveyor role
Knowledge of survey techniques used in making cross section, profile, location, topographic, and construction layout surveys.
Knowledgeable in field survey methods and techniques.
Knowledgeable in civil engineering and survey terminology.
Requires professional interaction with crew members, staff and clients.
High school diploma.
Ability to comprehend and make inferences from written material in the English language.
Must be punctual.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:50 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. occasionally the employee may need to work overtime as deemed necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Experience:

Land Surveying: 1-2 years (Preferred)
Education:
High school or equivalent (Preferred)
License on land surveying or license photogrammetric survey, duly licensed under Division 3, Chapter 15 ƒ??Land Surveyorsƒ?, of the Business and Professions Code of the State of California.

Work authorization:
United States (Required)

Work Location: Travel will be necessary.

It's as if they read this off of a cereal box extension learning add from the 60s or something and in general have about no idea what a Licensed Surveyor actually is, or represents.?ÿ?ÿ

sorry its this and a flame about 3 feet tall that gets me this fired up....

The stryngent requirements display their controls in place to hire whoever they already want to fill the position and use their entire budget if necessary to appear busy while collecting as much us less data on people until such time may come to use that information yo reveal their weakness for alternative purposes.
