Yes it is that bad and even worse.
As far as the drought, there is no natural water left and nothing green or even close to green for the wildlife to eat, I fill up a kiddie pool every day for the wildlife to drink from and spread out some protein cubes so they can get something in the belly.
My creek has not quit flowing in my 25 years of living here until now.
It is as dry as dry gets.
As far as the wild fires, we are one spark from having even more devastating fires at any given moment.
Even the strongest creeks and rivers are dry or almost dry, ranchers can not grow their own hay and have quit buying hay due to the cost.
The temps have backed off from breaking records a bit, but it is still in the mid to high 90's every day and the winds are just enough keep any fire going.
The rains will come one day, we pray for that every day, but until then, it will only get worse.
