Generally with this type of person, my conversation will be restricted to getting the job done. They soon learn that how they feel (while at work) is unimportant to me and we are going to move forward with the task at hand. If they wish to discuss their concerns or personal life, I may be open to listen before or after work. Of course, there are exceptions to this rule.
