I have an old HTC Velocity phone I use as a calculator. No SIM card installed.
One morning after putting it on charge I woke to find almost every application running and even sent off a few emails, one recommending a time logging application to one of my clients.
The camera had activated itself taking photos of the ceiling flat out.
I did a complete factory reset, then reinstalled a few applications I use for work.
Some time later all repeated itself.
Last night I put my Samsung Note 3 on charge.
This morning I opened it to find a message saying Screenshot saved.
It had taken 6700 screenshots overnight, opened a few applications.
I had turned of mobile and wifi so no embarrassing emails sent off.
Now! The common thing was I have a large power and surge protector which has charging ports. I plug my devices in and sit them on top.
I could only assume some electronic interference, so rang the agents who opted instead for antivirus and malware etc.
I installed CM Security which reported several issues but Googling them seemed nor something to he concerned for.
1, BroadAnyway, gets mixed comments.
Curious if others experience anything similar.
One phone, well still not good. 2 bit concerning.
Anyone familiar with the 1950's television show, "The Twilight Zone" can hear in their head the music that is playing in my head right now.
That's otherworldly.
I just heard in the last couple days about hackers getting into Samsung and Apple phones and taking control of them... you never know.
I bet it has to do with interference from your charging set up. The fact that it occurred on two different devices with the same set up is a good bet.
