Just going through a few old photos and came across this boat anchor. If you can remember using this, post when and where.

Not sure of the model but that looks like a Transit Satellite tracking system. I used a similiar JMR system around 1980.

It looks sorta like a Magnavox Doppler satellite Receiver but different...
is that a panel upper left that records data to tape instead of hard drive?
I was on this one project using the old Doppler receivers.

We were using it for geodetic ties for the new North warning system.
State of the art system back then.

Never used the WM102, started using leica GPS with the 200's. Did those WM102's work OK or at least provde a good solution? I have used the 200's, 300's, 500's and currently own 1200's.
