then poof! Cabin gone!
Remember when they blew up Walnut Grove?
Watched The Big Trail with John Wayne from 1930 when he was 23 years old and the lead in the show. Two hours and five minutes long, plus commercials, of course. Ward Bond and Chief John Big Tree appear but are not credited. Wayne was leading a wagon train from the Mississippi River more or less along the Oregon Trail. Location shots included Zion, Sequoia and Yellowstone National Parks. The actors clearly endured some of the most miserable working conditions as the rain and blizzards were real. Seven people died while making this movie. This was the last movie for Tyrone Power, Senior, father of Tyrone Power, Junior. At least three of the actors were born prior to 1870.
