Congrats to the pokes, they deserve to be in the big show.
Without a dog in this fight, except that I pull for the Pokes every game except for when they play my down Horns. I even have a OSU hat to wear that my buddy Deral sent me.
I just saw a poll on ESPN that almost 75% of America does not want to watch a rematch of LSU - Alabama.
I voted on that poll the same way.
The way the Pokes just blew away the Sooners with ease on such a big stage I think the pollsters need to be heard.

However if it is LSU - Alabama, the SEC can put Arkansas or Georgia in a third BCS slot. The entire SEC coaches poll will go for Alabama, because that is a very big pie to divide.
Over in the bitter Big 12/10/8/10 OSU will not get OU's vote and maybe not a few others.
Boise State should lobby for OSU, because at a final ranking of #5 and ahead of Arkansas, they should get a BCS slot. The Big 10 and ACC have no second BCS chance.
At least the Big East squeaked out of having 7-5 Louisville represent them.

I could say more about depth, TV $$ and recruiting but I will stifle myself.
Nearby So. Miss of Hattiesburg had a nice game yesterday. They knocked out a Heisman candidate, won a conference championship and in doing so lost at a minimum sum of $11 million for their Conference USA BCS piece of pie.
All a coach has to do to recruit to the SEC is show the BCS championship record for conferences to a HS school kid. SEC is 7-0 which includes a current 5 game streak.
It is that simple. Texas A&M has just recruited a DE blue chip from Brother Martin HS in New Orleans. The kid wants to be an engineer someday but he wants to play in the SEC also. It is that simple. If a kid wants to be a NFL prospect, he is looking at the SEC seriously.
Y'know, look at a guy like Matt Flynn. He was a decent QB who won a BCS championship at LSU. He wanted to enter med school after he matriculated but the GB Packers made him a 7th round pick and he is now the back up to Aaron Rodgers for the last 4 years.
I guess he will enter med school soon with a Superbowl ring.
I hope TCU isn't selected for the Sugar Bowl. I would like to see Kansas State- Arkansas. But I would rather see 2 teams whose fans think they can eat and drink the most. 🙂

As a dedicated Boise State fan, I am definitely lobbying for the 'Pokes to play in the MNC game. Okie State is always fun to watch and I'm convinced that they would give LSU a good ball game.
Could be the only remote chance for BSU to slide into a BCS bowl game. Boise fans travel in droves to bowl games, and the Broncos always represent very well on the grand stage. They are one of those teams that everybody hates to play.
I'm among the huge majority of fans who does not want to see LSU vs Alabama rematch. Bama already had their shot at that, and lost. Regardless, it matters not what the fans might think; it's all about what ESPN (in collusion with the BCS committee) wants.

As an SEC West fan, I'm kind of torn on the whole thing. I mean, who doesn't want to see Alabama lose again? As for Okie State, I think they'd match up better with CUSA Southern Miss. But that game aint gonna happen. I'm afraid the big dance with LSU and Okie State would result in a LOT of broken hearts in the State of Oklahoma, as if you haven't noticed by now, LSU aint called the "Tigers" for nothing---first half they gonna play with the mouse, second half the mouse gets eaten.:-|
