Its been on my bucket list for a long time and someday I will return to the land of good cheese for the big show. In the mean time I've found?ÿthis link?ÿfor a camera and tower frequency for my listening pleasure. In-bound traffic today is a fraction of what it has been the past couple but still interesting.
I was listening this morning when they closed the airport for a pilot who suffered the dreaded collapsed nose wheel upon bouncing it pretty hard. I managed to rewind the tape and was able to see it happen. The closure took all of 20 minutes and things were back to normal. I have to admit that the instruction on final of "aim for the numbers, keep your speed up, and put it down on the yellow dot (1,000 feet down the runway), and when able exit to the grass on the left" would be a lot to process for me considering what I had to do to get that far.?ÿ ?ÿ
