Collections Charting America: Maps from the Lawrence H. Slaughter Collection

Thanks, I love old maps, always have. I remember, as a child, drawing maps of the journeys of Vasco da Gama, Leif Erikson and Juan Sebastian Elcano. I liken them to mankind's awakening, opening our eyes to where we really are. Even now we're still pecking away at our shell on the verge of hatching and coming to grips with the idea(s) of what's out there. Exciting times but I think we'll need some darker sunglasses.
