Hi, My name is George Ibarra, I'm a Fresno State university student and I am at the end of my junior year.

?ÿ

I'm 28 years and almost done with school because I didn't think school would get me anywhere when I was younger.

I found the Geomatics program at Fresno State after I realized I wouldn't be touching a Total Station ever again if I were to become a Civil Engineer.

I'm really interested in geomatics and I am thinking of going the route of photogrammetry. The best thing about Geomatics is that you can never go wrong whichever way you go because I find every part of land surveying interesting.

Thank you for your time,

George

Welcome.?ÿ You have found an outstanding resource for answering most questions you might come up with.

On a side note, we have a nearly identical surname in our family, by marriage, but the I is a Y.

Welcome, George. I know Dr. Munjy and Dr. Berber well, although I was not a student at FSU. As a new forum member, I am not sure if you can message/email me, but I would like to talk with you about opportunities.?ÿ

You made a good career decision. We can't feed the demand for surveyors in California.?ÿ

You will learn a lot here.

Hi George!?ÿ

I didn't go to FSU, but I'm from the area, and active at the local CLSA chapter... maybe we've met before! Photogrammetry is definitely an interesting aspect of surveying, and I agree with SMPLS too - you've made a good career decision!
