Maybe an online link to a skyplot, of satellites, where you enter the Lat Lon, and it gives you a sliding bar, to see what the sats are doing. That would make a stop by "Survey Connect" even more attractive.
Maybe an online store. We all have old surveying odds and ends. Stuff we collected. Stuff we don't need or use any more. We can now DONATE it to Wendell and Angel for providing us this site. Even old copies of software.
It works like this: You post a PIC of whatever it is, or a few pics. And, the postage, and handling fee. And, the price for it. When the money hits Wendell's plate, then the object is shipped directly from Donor, to the recipient. It'd be like an online yard sale. Shipping & Handling goes to donor, and donation goes to this web site. It could have a suggested donation, or a fixed amount.
This would be great for old compasses, and books, and planimeters, and EDM's and Plumb Bobs. Time marches on. We don't use the 300' tape any more. But, it'd make a cool wall hanging for somebody.
It'd make this site worth more, more traffic, more value to advertisers. Besides, Wendell needs something to keep him busy! 🙂
