Immediately after I posted it :-O I noticed it had two hijack links. I edited and thought I successfully removed them, since I could not see them. However in another thread a few days ago I saw those type of links and others on the board says it was in my computer. So what am I looking for? Some suggested the Harness website, but I was unsuccesful there. I am at a loss on those kind of things.:'(

BTW, as you travel around Hawaii you might see signs "Lopresti for State House of Representatives". He is a nephew, don't hold it against him.;-)

The previous reply appears on my screen with hijack links on the word "t r a v e l" and on "a r o u n d H a w a i i". They do not show up until it is displayed a few seconds. That is very weird.
Also appears on "s e c o n d s" in this post. The link first takes you to "servads" then somewhere else.

All that stuff is only on your computer. You have been infected with some kind of virus. No one else sees it.
Don't click on those links, you're just making it worse. You need to have your computer cleaned .
My IT guy just installed "webroot" secure anywhere. it seems to do a very good job.
So What Happened To My NCAA Post (reply plus edit)
I saw your post about the NCAA and PSU students. I did read it but did not reply. I thought that you would blow a gasket about the NCAA sanctions and you did. It was there when I logged off at night but was gone in the morning. I assumed it was trashed by the admin and that you were ‘sanctioned’ for it. When I saw it I was struck by the lack of sensitivity of the title of the post.
If I remember the post was a tirade mostly about how unjust the decision was from your perspective. You groaned about Bowden and other schools, remarked how pSU students were being denied a fine education blah and gave a brief history of the Clery Act.
But it was the wording of the title , that was completely insensitive to rape victims and their families.
Matter of fact, one poster who is smarter than the average bear here (JF) had asked in a nice way with a 🙁 if you would like to ‘rethink’ your choice of verb and you replied with using ‘sodomized’ instead. I don’t know. Maybe as a child you were sodomized or your sons were or your wife and daughters were raped and sodomized and you feel you have the right to use the metaphor against the NCAA because your beloved Happy Valley reeks in the eyes of the world. But I thought it was very insensitive to rape victims and their families everywhere even if you were just using it as a euphemism, it showed none of that PSU class you talk about here. Just my 2 cts.
I remember the last post of the thread was Andy J telling you to keep on digging as relating to get out of the hole you are in and your views about Paterno made him puke.

It is kind of ironic that you displayed the insensitivity that was fosterd by the PSU officilas and PSU atmosphere to victims of these heinous crimes.. If you are going to use the words rape and sodomized maybe you should take a step back before you do. I think you proved the NCAA's point.

That may not necessarily be a virus. It is likely some kind of add-on that highlights certain words and links them to another site. Hover your mouse over the link without clicking on it and see if a small window appears. If it does, look in the corner of the window and there will probably be a name. Look for that name in add/remove programs in the control panel. Remove that and you should be good.
I am not a computer specialist of any kind but I have dealt with that on several different computers and it sounds like what you are describing.

I have seen that name on signs coming out of the airport!! And quite a few others. Must be election time here in Hawaii. 🙂

Thank you Robert, I think you summed up the nasty series of comments quite well. And I'm not surprised that Paul thought it helpful to somehow drag it all up again by posting about it's removal. Narcissism seems to run deep in Happy Valley.
