Someone posted in the "Ask a Surveyor" category and an email was sent to me with the post as the content. This is not something that has ever occurred before and not something I want to continue to happen. Does any one know why it occurred and what do I need to do for it to not happen anymore?

Unsubscribe to the forum. This will be in Account, Notification Settings, "subscriptions" tab. The forum is under "group".
Or just MUTE the conversation in your messages
So I went to Account as directed by kjypls and then the sub notifications and on that screen found where there are 2 options for notifications. WEB and EMAIL I unchecked the email for all of them. Not sure how this got checked to begin with but I'm thinking this will stop the unwanted emails.
I got 7 emails about this new topic which I never knew of or responded to. This is a first for me.

Yes, the OP somehow managed to send a message to all members of the Ask A Surveyor group. Not sure how that happened, but I'm looking into how I can stop it from happening again.
Ok, I figured it out already and fixed it. I didn't like all those notifications either. The OP is new to the site and probably didn't understand exactly where to post.
