Yes. When creating a new discussion or reply, you'll notice several icons below the content area. Click the Aa button to view your text formatting options.
Note: Thank you to @jhframe for the question in a post that I accidentally deleted. 😳

Thanks for pointing out the formatting access! No big deal about the deleted post, it didn't really add much to the thread anyway.
