I don't post here much these days, but when I do I always check the email notification box.
I look thru my mailbox and see no notices.
Did I screw things up again or is the tool not working?
thanks!
Peter
I think it's on a per-thread basis.
Reply to me and I'll tell you so for sure.

yes it is Eric.
Yep. I got emailed as expected.
Is that what you were expecting?
BUG for Wendell....
Peter's email came through the surveyorconnect domain so when I clicked on the url from the email it didn't take me where I thought it would.
Since I come in through beerleg it didn't see me logged in.

Thanks Eric: I got two notices... apparently you edited your first message and I got a second notice for the edit.
All is good here
PS: my mail server was down for a bit early this morning, probably the cause for my drop out. sorry, I forget things these days 🙁
It appears to be on an individual reply basis - not the entire thread. I didn't edit my initial reply and I didn't ask for email response on the 2nd post.
I'll bet you didn't check for notification on your last response. I only got the initial email.
How you got a 2nd email from my post, I don't know.

Nope, I am a creature of habit, I always check the box... I think it was lost messages caused by the reboot of the mail server. rare, but it happens...
in this event I probably got one reply as originator of the thread, and a second one as the originator of my post within.
I use a RSS reader for the threads I care about, so I get little dropout other than my own user error.
Thanks Eric
Yeah... you probably got one from the RSS feed plus my reply.
We learn something new every day.
As we ALL should.
Last time I messed with live streaming RSS was for a contract program for a professional storm chaser. He sent me a short data stream and said could I figure it out in a couple weeks (for $500) I had the job for the rest of the project. No problem. I got the 500 but the project got put on permanent hold. Oh well.
