quick question : is it possible to record and transfer static data with trimble R4 without a controller?

For a mission, I might be able to carry a trimble R4 but without a controller (needed on another project).

What I want to do is use the trimble R4 set to record static data automatically on startup and then find a way to access and transfer that data from the rover to my computer?
Is it possible to access data from a computer using serial cable or bluetooth? do I need any kind of proprietary software to do so?

Okay fixed it.
The download information is on page 30 and involves downloading an app from Trimble for retrieving the data. I think... might not be available on the r4, I have only used the 8... that most receivers have a spot for a memory card to be installed for Static RAW data.
I'm using R4 not R4s. I found somewhere that I could download the .DAT logs (without GLONASS) with trimble data transfer software through serial cable. If I want glonass data i need to export .Txx files wich can only be extracted with trimble business center wich I dont have...
can anyone confirm this?
Going back to the 5700, it supports independent operation as well.

Do not know if it supports the R4 but the R4 does have bluetooth.
The DL app supports R-series receivers.

FYI.. Trimble DL is only available as an APK now. The new app is Trimble Smart Target. The new app doesn't have automated email capabilities but the bluetooth is more reliable on older units.
