Spectra Geospatial (formerly Spectra Precision) has indicated that they are ending their Central Cloud Corrections service on December 31, 2021.?ÿ We have been using this service exclusively, with Survey Pro, for base and rover configuration on our projects.?ÿ Our dealer told me that we were their only client in Southern California using this service hence the reason they are discontinuing it.?ÿ Given that it will be ending in just a few months, we are scrambling to find an alternative that allows us to use cellular connections between our base and rover set-ups. The only alternative that was suggested to us is using an RTK Bridge which seems like a lot more trouble then the system we had been using.?ÿ

Does anyone have experience with this system and/or have suggestions on a way to run a base and rover set-up with cellular connection??ÿ

They are also ending their Central Cloud which allows us to sync data from Survey Pro back and forth between the office and field.?ÿ We can get around this using Dropbox on a TSC7; but, our older Ranger 3s run an outdated Windows OS that doesn't support any other data cloud service.?ÿ It seems we are being pushed out of Survey Pro and will have to switch over to Trimble Access.?ÿ

Is anyone else going to run into this same problem on December 31, 2021??ÿ

?ÿ

We simply email back and forth on our DC's. Outlook on the browser (TSC7).

We use network corrections for our base.

Spectra Precision is owned by Trimble.

Knowing they way Trimble plays, I would expect an 'invitation you can't refuse' to start using their VRS and Connect services.

We are in the same boat.?ÿ We found an alternative solution to using "Central Cloud Corrections".?ÿ Central Cloud Corrections is/(soon to be was) basically an NTRIP caster.?ÿ We are running an standalone NTRIP solution called SNIP.?ÿ Do a google search for NTRIP SNIP and it should be one of the first links that comes up.?ÿ We use Spectra SP80 recievers.?ÿ They can be configured via Survey Pro to forward NTRIP data to a caster.?ÿ It works well and the lite version is free to use.?ÿ

We are still looking for a solution to the Survey Pro Sync file transfer capability.?ÿ I found some software called Wisemo that on paper looks like it will work.?ÿ I'm demo'ing it now but the file transfers error out.?ÿ I have a support ticket open with Wisemo and am actively working with them to find a solution.?ÿ I will update this thread with the results.

UPDATE.

Wisemo support was able to find a solution and the file transfer portion of the software now works as expected.?ÿ They created a test build of the software for trouble shooting the problem.?ÿ The test version works but I don't know if the changes have been added to the production build yet.?ÿ It's not exactly the same as the Survey Pro sync as the file transfers are initiated from a PC in the office and you copy individual files instead of syncing the entire directory.?ÿ The nice part is that as long as the data collector has a wifi connection the office personnel can perform the file transfers without any interaction needed from the field personnel.

Another option is FTP file transfers.?ÿ I got that working as well using "Total Commander" file manager on the data collector.?ÿ You will have to have access to an FTP server but there are many low cost servers that you can subscribe to (DriveHQ is what I used).

@pbickett I'm in the same boat and using the same equipment that you are. Is there any chance you could send me some info or share with me the settings/steps on how to get Snip on Surveypro?
