I flashed the newest firmware to our R10s late last week and the crews are already calling in to tell me about the uptick in performance.?ÿ They ran circles around another firm's crew staking LOD.?ÿ Might have something to do with this:
Accidentally cut off the legend, each horizontal line through the graph is 5 SVs.

Not even close to a GS18!
Looking at my Alloy I see that it is tracking Beidou but NOT using them in the solution.?ÿ
Not sure what the difference is between tracking and using (probably not using to compute a position). If I export a rinex 2.11 file there is no Beidou (I think it ca't use them?), but if I export a rinex 3.02 they are in there.?ÿ
That's with GPS and Glonass turned off for clarity. The two should see the same signals.
I've noticed the R10s will use Galileo almost with a preference and usually don't use Beidou in the fix solution. So I included them in the graphic, but I do acknowledge they don't seem to be the differentiator in performance.
Now this makes me want to try to PPK some stubborn shots.
If I upload a .T02 file to RTX it does not include Beidou in the processing. Now that I switched the format from rinex 2.x to rinex 3.x I am going to wait an hour or so and upload that. Is it possible that .T02 does not include Beidou? The RTX page says it will process Beidou since 2014. Maybe I need to use .T04 format? I have never used that setting.?ÿ
Through my talks w/ Hemisphere, they found that they had more consistent results tracking Galileo compared to Beidou here in Canada.?ÿ Could have just been "salesman talk" so, potentially, take it w/ heavy doses of salt.
I have oft wondered about the weighting suppliers assign to networks within their algorithms.?ÿ?ÿ
My guess is it would depend on what the reference station used to process against is logging.?ÿ I've noticed my on-site baselines (t02 files; R10/R10 or R8^4/R10) will process G & B static, but files downloaded from RTN usually don't.?ÿ Someone probably needs to go in and tell the sites to log the data.
?ÿ
For RTX there is no reference station, per se. They use a network of CORS around the world to compute orbits, clock corrections, and to model the ionosphere, etc.?ÿ
I knew that and forgot, it's a PPP solution. I only use RTX as a check since for almost all of my work relative coordinates matters far more than absolute.
So I uploaded a rinex 3.2 file (18:00 UTC to 19:00 UTC today) that definitely had Beidou to RTX. First of all, the receiver uploaded to my ftp a zip file that had a file with a .rnx extension. I tried to upload that to RTX and it said the file type was unrecognized. So I changed the extension to .19o and it uploaded and processed. But still only used GPS, Galileo, and Glonass.?ÿ
You would think that RTX would recognize a file type extension ouput by a Trimble receiver but apparently not.?ÿ
I also turned on the NTrip caster to output RTCM3.2, and captured it with SNIP.?ÿ
It is sending out all four constellations on the RTCM stream. Note that SNIP uses B for Beidou while it is C in the Rinex file

This is heartbreaking. I sat around for an hour, trying to set a corner today. It was woods, and I'd fallen into "that noon doldrums hole" only 8 sats. For a little while. It was heartbreaking. It seems un unconscionable. Somebody else is ahead of my beloved Javad!

I have noticed for the past few weeks that I am tracking Beidou but they are rarely used and have been told that since China is on the other side of the world and maybe something to do with the ongoing trade spat that maybe China is messing with the satellites when they are over North America.?ÿ
I believe I was 14 of 22 today but last month it was a lot better.?ÿ?ÿ
Resurrecting an old post.?ÿ I push rinex files aside for post processing those difficult observations and where I need a check to some less than perfect RTK.?ÿ?ÿ
Our base station outputs Rinex v 3.03 just fine.?ÿ Is there any data what version Rinex these sensors/receivers output?
And, how many are post processing using Rinex 3.03 in difficult areas and were you able to get a solution where you could not with RTK?
