Submitted 2 files to OPUS rapid static on Monday and again on Tuesday. Each about 1.5 hours long using Topcon receivers. Submitted the files in tps format and again after converting to RINEX. Both times the files were returned with the message "aborting unspecified error". Subsequently without alteration the files were processed using Trimble software against CORS data and also processed through Trimble's RTX system, both returning successful results. Any ideas on why they failed in OPUS on Monday and also Tuesday? Also I noticed there was about a 40% failure rate for files submitted to OPUS on those 2 days. This seems high to me is that an expected failure rate?
Failure rate sounds a little high to me but I'm not aware of any OPUS outages on my end.
I have noticed recently there is something about TPS (and JPS) files causing OPUS to fail. Yes, OPUS is still supposed to accept non-RINEX uploads, but at some point in the not-too-distant future OPUS will be accepting RINEX only.
Along with TPS uploads to OPUS failing, even the TPS2RIN converter (version 1.0.28.3459) I was using would result in a failure.
The one thing that is working is to use TopCon's Online TPS to RINEX Converter. Yeah, they make you sign up for a MyTopCon account, but if you use their gear you probably already have one, or should. The RINEX I have been getting out of the online tool are working in OPUS.
And if you are interested in sharing a file, I'd be happy to take a look.
