?ÿ First some background before I get to my question:
For years I've been using a VRS setup using: Trimble R8, TSC2 , Access 2015, and a Verizon MiFi device.?ÿ The MiFi device had it's own Verizion account that cost $20 a month for 2 Gig of data.?ÿ I never even approached using 2 Gig but that was the lowest prepaid rate they had.?ÿ ?ÿWhen I switched my cell service to AT&T it included free WiFi tethering so naturally I didn't renew my monthly Verizion MiFi and just used me phone so as to kill to birds with one stone.
?ÿ Now comes the rub.?ÿ ?ÿI now get an intermittent error of "No Base Data" while running a session.?ÿ I'll then have to reconnect to the base station or get all the way out of Access and fire it back up again to get a connection.?ÿ When I say intermittent, think every 5 or 10 minutes.?ÿ ?ÿIt's gotten to the point where I don't even want to use it any more.?ÿ Any ideas what's going on?

?ÿ

Thanks in advance!?ÿ

@jitterboogie?ÿ

I thought so also.?ÿ However, I have decent to good signal, never loose cell service, and usually listening to spotify music or podcast.?ÿ I figure if I can listen to spotify, then surely the small amounts of data coming from the base station would get through.

You're in Coastal NC. I am also in Coastal NC and I have seen the same thing happen on occasion in recent months using a Verizon MiFi in town with good cell service. But I was in a rural area earlier this week and I had no issues. I have been meaning to call Bart and ask him if he has heard if anyone else having a similar problem.

@brad-ott?ÿ

Bart Alligood ... different Bart altogether.

@BushAxe
I was thinking that this may be the issue:
https://www.faasafety.gov/files/notices/2021/Jun/MARSOC_21-05_GPS_Flight_Advisory.pdf

however I think this is more toward the GPS signal itself than the cell signal connecting to the base station.

@brad-ott I think you are speaking of Bert's Surf Shop in AB. I grew up surfing in that area, I lived in Emerald Isle. We're selling my mom's house if you are interested. 1-block from the beach. Not in a flood zone. ???œ

@firestix I just looked back at my data files. I don't think the days I had issues did not fall within the days of the interference testing.?ÿ But maybe I am wrong.

Isnt there something called VOIP, where if there is phone activity it takes priority over data?

@eddycreek?ÿ

I don't think that applies to cell phones.?ÿ Also, it's always happened when there is no call or voice activity.

Also, check your phone settings and network capabilities (are you out in the sticks?). IIRC if you are not on LTE and a call comes in, the hotspot will drop...

Could be your very old TSC2. Back when I had an iPhone 4, it could not connect to the TSC2 for TSC use, so we got a TSC3. TSC3 is essentially discontinued already .
