Curious if any of the Javad users here have purchased the J-Mate? Anyone used it or even messed with it??ÿ
Although the J-Mate appears in the Javad web store, I think it's still in beta testing.
It's an interesting product, but I don't understand where it fits in the market.?ÿ It has a price point approaching that of a robotic total station, but it doesn't have anywhere near the range, accuracy or versatility (you need a Triumph-LS?ÿ receiver in order to operate it).?ÿ?ÿ
I love my Triumph-LS, but the J-Mate just leaves me scratching my head.
@jim-frame I agree. While at the MO Conference I spoke with Matt briefly who was there with Javad and he had a J-Mate. It is an interesting concept but I fail to see where it would be beneficial to have instead of just a good old fashion total station, but then again perhaps not many have actually used it in the real world applications yet.
I suspect it provides a much more nimble transition to different measurement methods.?ÿ Although this may not seem that helpful for those who spend a lot of time close to their vehicle I can see some big advantages out in the wild.
I'll put myself in the intrigued category.
