Can you do this yourself or do you have to send it in to get this added

It is all just a code file. When I upgraded ours, We paid for the addtional memory and the dealer sent us a file to flash to unit with. Memory upgrade complete.

If you have access to the memory on Cinderella days then all you need is to purchase the Options Authorization File (OAF) to permanently enable the memory.

Use PCCDU or Topcon receiver Utilities for a list of activated options and what is available on that receiver. Those same programs would be used to upload the new activation file

I don't suppose either off you could help me out with this as well? Thanks just looking at purchasing a hiper lite plus rover/base pair and it would be nice to know if it's upgraded or even upgradeable. Sorry it's my first post, resources are very thin on this stuff.

Again,

Thanks

You can record static data to a data collector using Topcon Receiver Utility which is free. You don't need any memory activated on receiver.

I had the internal memory added by the dealer's service department a couple years ago. First thing was - the codes and prices had dropped off of their regular listings. They had to make some special calls to Topcon to get the 411.?ÿ That part took a couple weeks. Cost ended up being around $500 to turn on the minimum amount of memory in one of the units.?ÿ?ÿ

Then that one quit working altogether just a few months later.?ÿ Oh, well.

Based on several recent postings I'm thinking of going into business as a used Hiper Lite+?ÿ broker. Buy up the one working unit of the pairs and match them up to create new pairs.?ÿ?ÿ

?ÿ?ÿ

Bid is currently $2995 on these two:?ÿ https://www.ebay.com/itm/Topcon-Hiper-Lite-Base-and-Rover-L1-L2-RTK-915-MHz-with-Glonass/323280253382

Bid is $1495 on this one:?ÿ https://www.ebay.com/itm/Topcon-Hiper-Lite-L1-L2-RTK-RECEIVER-915-MHz-with-Glonass/323280294838

I also have a RE-S1 repeater, starting bid $795, buy it now $1195:?ÿ https://www.ebay.com/itm/Topcon-RE-S1-L1-L2-RTK-915-MHz-REPEATER/323280312565

I didn't realize they had lowered the price for the upgrades, so they may not be a "bargain".?ÿ You could always keep or sell yours for parts.

There is a YAGI directional antenna, too, extend/ double your range. $79 bid, buy it now $119:?ÿ https://www.ebay.com/itm/YAGI-DIRECTIONAL-ANTENNA-FOR-TOPCON-RTK-915-MHz-and-others/323280319029

And an Allegro MX with SurvCE complete version 5, bid $995, buy it now $1495:?ÿ https://www.ebay.com/itm/JUNIPER-SYSTEMS-ALLEGRO-MX-DATA-COLLECTOR-WITH-CARLSON-5-COMPLETE/323280336421

The only thing Topcon lowered the price to upgrade was adding GLONASS.

On a HiPer Lite+ Basic receiver with GPS only activated, the original list price for a base/rover pair was $27,400 for 1 Hz RTK, without GLONASS and no memory activated.?ÿ To add GLONASS signal tracking had a list price of $3,300 per receiver and the first 4 Mb memory was $500.

Toward the end of the line for the HiPer Lite+, they were sold as a Professional Bundle that included GPS + GLONASS and 10 Hz RTK + 8 Mb memory activation and a two-receiver bundle had a list price of $19,900.?ÿ?ÿ

We purchased those receivers new from Topcon beginning sometime in the spring of 2009.?ÿ If they were sold through Survey dealers, the serial numbers should begin with 384-75xx or thereabouts.

So I went ahead and bought the ones local (ended up being 2 bases/2 receivers and radio repeater, all cables) because when I looked at the firmware through TRU it seemed that everything was turned on. GPS/Glonass, etc. Only have 5Hz refresh rate but thought that was fine. What I missed was that the memory lease has expired, and I have zero memory available on any of them. Which I didn't think was possible. Now I'm terrified I just wasted a poop load of money on i can't use for anything.

Please help. Or tell me I wasted my money so I can stop worrying.

How would I use the controller as the memory? Package came with 2 fc-100's and a tsc2.

Can log static data to the controller using:

PCcdu, CEcdu, TRU, TopSurv or Magnet Field

I don't recall the particulars but I used to log it directly to my laptop.?ÿ I probably was using TRU with a serial cable and a serial to bluetooth adapter.
