I have a few of these receivers, now one of them seems to be in remote monitor active, and doesn't go further of this screen, probably is hit by the gps rollover week too, but in order to fix that, first need to take care of this mode,?ÿ
what do I need to do?? can somebody help me out??
see picture attached

I'm not absolutely sure, but I think this is usually a sign the internal batteries have died that were keeping the memory alive (including firmware).
If this is true, you need to replace the lithium cells (not a trivial task) and reload the firmware.?ÿ I think the UNAVCO?ÿ site has the firmware, but a poster named robots also has put out a file with a patch for the week problem.
Bill's got it right.?ÿ The UNAVCO site has (or had, anyway - I haven't checked lately) a how-to document that will allow you to decide if the task is something you want to attempt.?ÿ It's not really hard if you're reasonably handy with a soldering iron.
I already change batteries, this model has 2, but still have same msg REMOTE MONITOR ACTIVE..
so what's next guys?
@vick You've got to reload the software on the unit.?ÿ Also, watch out for the memory expansion boards, they have batteries too.
+1 on what has been said before. The LOADER.exe updater software can run under dosbox IIRC (or possibly winXP in a VM), no need to go gravedigging for your old 486.

Your memory card looks nothing like mine (I have the narrow type, that covers those two board-to-board connectors on the left in your pic). And what's with that extra "Sundisk" board !?

In any case, definitely make sure there's not 2 more batteries hiding between the PCBs.

I've since found that the Ctrl-C trick works sometimes, but not reliably.?ÿ However, between that and the Data Transfer method I've been able to connect to every receiver I've tried so far.?ÿ I think I'm up to 8 or so.
