I recently won a storage unit in an auction in New Jersey and have 12 Large metal drafting tables and one backlit table that tilts. In good condition. . I want to move these so I'm asking $150 each for the metal ones and $900 for backlit. I can email pictures if needed.

I am with Jimmy on this one. I wish I were close enough to take one off your hands.

Nothing personal, but I think $900 for the light table is reeeeeeally steep. I'd love to have one, even though I'd only use it a few times a year, but I can't even see paying more than $100 for one.

Every where I've worked that had a light table, it was home made.

They consisted of a rather oblong kitchen table with a squared cutout and a frosted plexiglass or glass insert with a couple of florescent shop lights underneath in a boxed enclosure. The frame around the insert was hinged to change the lamps.

My old boss has a beautiful one that the local resident old timer made. It stands high (about 4+') with about a 2.5' x 2' sand blasted glass in the center. The florescents hang below from chains. It's a very nice looking and useful piece of equipment/furniture.

Sorry, but online, I've see similar ones, brand new going for $2500 plus!
I'm looking at one now at draftingtables.com, similar..and $3000.

This is used, but works. And it's large..not a small one.

It's more of a light table than drafting table from what I'm told now.
So, I think it's fair since it's in good shape.

no harm. I just wouldn't pay that much for one when I know I could build one, or have one made for a fraction of that. Good luck.
