I guess to answer my own question it must be because land surveyors renew by the end of March and engineers renew by the end of April in my neck of the woods.?ÿ Only need a few hours total to satisfy the minimum CE requirement for renewal but there are too many choices within reach.?ÿ Might as well start building up some carry over hours, I guess.
Could get 6.5 hours of engineering on March 5, then drive about another 30 miles and pick up 8.0 hours of surveying on March 6.?ÿ What would possibly be an even more beneficial 8.0 hours of surveying is available on March 20 at about the same distance from here as the March 6 program.?ÿ Can get needed CE for real estate on March 11 and March 13 at different locations with very different topics.?ÿ Finished 2.0 hours of mandatory CE for surveying over the weekend.
The catch is that I already have non-work commitments that will more or less wreck the work day on March 2, 3, 5, 9, 17, 19 and 25.?ÿ The two March 5 things really mess with the CE on March 5 and 6.?ÿ One of those may not work out.
Also, I typically delay working on income taxes until mid-April.?ÿ That has to move up into late March this year as I will be absent during the normal time frame.
Somewhere in between all of this it would be nice to actually get some work done and maybe have a little time to goof off.
