Is it unethical and a conflict of interest to perform my own survey?

Eh, as others have pointed out, it’s not ability or competency, it’s the conflict of interest, which still exists.
My issue with this method of getting another to stamp, disguises the self-survey and conflict of interest, and is basically deception
I would not say so. If the signing surveyor agrees with the overall survey, then I really don’t see an issue.
A guy was buying real estate, surveying it himself, selling it. Apparently it was legal. We got the state surveyor involved.
As far as I know Joe is still surveying his own land. No license.

@nate-the-surveyor thankfully many jurisdictions require a licensed surveyor to subdivide, but it is legal everywhere (that I know of) for a land owner to ascertain their own boundaries.
