I’ll bring my L1 locus units 🙂
I will not be able to make this trip. I am crazy busy. Work has backed up since I got minor a back injury and then shingles on top of that.
Sucks to be solo at times like this.
Sorry to hear about the bad luck Lee. 3 hardest time to be solo…..
1 Sick
2 Hurtin
3 Gotta go but you in the neighborhood and they all seem to enjoy setting on the porch watching you.
For those that cannot make it to Maryland from NJ or PA. I am a Javad user and could meet somewhere closer to you or you can make a trip to the Elmira N.Y. area
Hadn’t read this thread until now (no dog in the fight) but I may drop on by, given that I live fifteen minutes away.
Mr. Fleming, what kind of GPS equipment are you using? I would like to have as many different manufacturers as possible. We want to get a good side by side comparison. Not real scientific but a good real world comparison.

You could be responsible for posting photos (if you feel like it).
Are you intending to proceed with the event no matter what the weather doees?
The 10 day forecast is showing 60% chance of rain with temps in the 40’s. I’m going as long as there isn’t a major snow or ice storm impeding travel.
We got pounded down here in the Carolinas. Looks like the rural roads will be bad for a few days especially in the mornings. It’s really messed up my survey schedule. I’m not sure I will make it to Maryland. It is still forecasted to rain Friday and Saturday there. Are the rest of ya’ll planning on making the trip?
- Adam,
I am still a strong maybe. Weather looks a little better. (It is a 4 hour trip for me.) I am also looking for how many are planning to attend and some coordination information. (Contact number(s), where are we going to meet, what time are we meeting, and etc.) I am more than 90% certain that I will be attending the event in Maryland this weekend. My only hesitance is the weather and that I am not getting a warm and fuzzy feeling that it is going to happen, how many are going to attend, who is coordinating, what time and where are we meeting…….
I will be traveling Friday afternoon/evening. I have not reserved a room. At this time, I am planning on getting a room in Hagerstown MD when I arrive. I am open to suggestions, and would love to share time with others on Friday evening.
I will be there if it is happening. Will be in Largo, MD Friday night and can’t meet then.
Maybe we should reschedule if its going to rain?
It is not that easy to get away from work. I plan on being there regardless of weather. The rain looks like it will be on and off. I think we can still make it work.
Should roll in tomorrow afternoon. I’m up for beers and a burger tomorrow night at whatever fork and glass we can find in the area.
I’ll be there tomorrow before noon.

In town:
Ten miles out in the country
A little more upscale than a burger, but the best restaurant in town, IMVHO
Unfortunately I have previous commitments this evening and Saturday or I would escort you through our “fair” city. Plus having been told by my doctor this week that I have to eliminate: fried foods, fatty foods, most red meat, most carbohydrates, and alcohol from my diet – if I was around burgers and beer I’d just weep.
James to the salad bar with no dressing line for you! I try to be good, but it is very hard at most dining establishments!
